There are over 20 million informal waste workers around the world, who collect over half of the world’s recycled waste. This pensive, visually arresting film tells the story of one of them. Riza is a waste collector and shop owner in Manila, Philippines, working to make ends meet for her family. Ensemble Media’s Stephanie Foerster produced and directed the film in collaboration with Tetra Tech and the Clean Cities, Blue Ocean initiative funded by USAID.
